AIR VICE-MARSHAL PETER LATHAM

The Association is very sad to announce the death of a former Sqaudron Commanding Officer, Air Vice-Marshal Peter Latham, who, after a short illness, passed away aged 91.
Having flown fighter aircraft throughout the Cold War, he was appointed CO 111 (F) Sqn in October 1958, taking over from Squadron Leader Roger Top, the departing CO. Additionally , he took over as leader of the famous Black Arrows formation aerobatic team.
A service will be held on 04th January 2017 at the Holy Trinity Church, Hardwick Road, Hethe, Nr Bicester, OX27 8AW. As more information is know, we shall post it on the website.
The thoughts and best wishes of the Association members are with Peter's family at this sad time.
