One aspect of the CXI(F) Sqn website is to provide members with a central point where they can find information about the squadron and the wonderful aircraft flown. The last aircraft flown by CXI(F) Sqn was the F3 Tornado, and the photograph above, of ZE158 'HG' at low-level in August 2005, was taken by an aviation photographer called Phil Stevens.
Importantly, Phil's website has a section of photographs of CXI(F) Sqn aircraft, with some great photographs of Tornados not only in the air, but also at the Squadron's last home, RAF Leuchars. You can check them out at targeta.co.uk/squadronaction_111.htm
Philip Stevens has been a writer and freelance aviation photographer for over 30 years and has created the website "Target Aviation Photography" with the aim of promoting one of his main interests in life, aviation photography. He is totally focused on aviation photography and if he is not planning an assignment or an event, whether it be in the UK, Europe or North America, then he likes to take time off to go to Wales or Cumbria for low-level flying photography.
His subject aircraft range form vintage and veteran civil aircraft, through warbirds all the way to modern military aircraft, and he has been approved to fly with the RAF and other air forces for Air to air images, which add another exciting dimension to his photography.
He is also the author of the excellent "Thunder Through the Valleys" a fantastic collection of 176 photographs of low level flying military aircraft - to find out more information click here.
